And so let's jump right into my goals for this year of 2024!
1月目標 / January

何気に全部あげられてないので
まずそれを完了必須→必須
I still have a few more cover videos that I posted on YouTube but have not had the chance to create blog entries for, so I need to catch up and finish up on those.

I'd like to create one blog entry listing and summarizing all my cover videos so I can see them in one place...!
英語カバー / English Cover
昨年10月にタカペン動画活動一周年を
迎えたので、記念英語カバーを、と
ずっと企んでて投稿できてないので
まずはそれを録ってアップ→必須
This past October was my first anniversary for my YouTube channel. I've been wanting to and have been unable to upload an annivesary English cover video, so I really want to do that this month.
ギター弾き語り / Guitar Sing-Along
1月中に可能かわからないけど
「雪の華」原曲キー＆英訳で
弾き語りリベンジをしたい
Not sure how plausible it would be, but I'm wanting to re-do the "Snow Flower" guitar sing-along, this time in the original key and with the lyrics translated into English.
去年は簡単引き向けにキーが変更された
バージョンをそのまま日本語で歌ったので
The version I did last year was in a different key with simpler chords, and I didn't have the time to translate so it was in Japanese.
2月目標 / February
歌ってみた動画① / Cover Vid 1
タカペンの大好きなゲームキャラの
お誕生日が2月なので、可能なら
そのキャラにちなんだ曲の
歌ってみた動画をキャラのお誕生日に
投稿したいけど、結構難しいタイミングかも
My fave videogame character has their birthday in February, so if possible, I'd like to cover a song that's related to them, but their birthday is in early February, so I'm not sure I'll have the time to prepare.
あと、もともと英語曲なので
そのまま英語でカバーバージョンと
できたら和訳バージョンをやってみたい
Plus, the lyrics to the song are in English, so I'm contemplating on doing a straight English cover and a translated Japanese cover.
できたらタカペン初の和訳カバーになります（笑）
If I'm able to do it, then it'll be my first time translating lyrics into Japanese! :)
歌ってみた動画② / Cover Vid 2
覚えてたら猫の日にちなんだ
英語カバーを何かやりたい
If I remember, I'd like to do something for the cat meow day on Feb 22nd.
2月短いので無理かも？
もしくはショートでちょっとだけとか
February's a short month, so it just might not be possible. I might just try a tiny bit of something and upload a shorts clip.
3月目標 / March
英語カバー / English Cover
3月にはタカペンの大好きなアニメの
何やらイベントがある模様
日本でのイベントなのでタカペンには
全く関係ありませんが、それにあやかって
そのアニメのED曲を英語カバーしたい
Apparently there's some event happening in March for one of my fave animes, so I'm thinking of doing an English cover of the ending to that anime. Although since the event's taking place in Japan, it's got nothing to do with yours truly all the way over here in the U.S. of A, but hey, why not. lol
ギター弾き語りになるかも？
I might try it with my guitar accompaniment, instead of a full instrumental one since I don't think there's a karaoke track out there for this song.

とにかく１～２ヶ月に
１動画のペースを維持していきたい
Try to maintain my pace of one video every one to two months.
ギター / Guitar
弾き語りとクラシックエチュードの練習を
続けて、なんでも良いけど1曲はよどみなく
弾けるようになりたい
Keep on practicing so I can play at least one song without hesitating and making mistakes all over. :P

ちょっと週一の記事は難しそうなので
せめて月一の記事は書けるようにしたい
I think long time ago when I started this blog, I was trying to do one entry a week. That's nigh impossible, so I'd like to try to maintain at least one a month.

最近英訳説明記事について自分でも
存在を忘れてるので、これも追いつかないと（汗
Feels like I'd nearly completely forgotten about my explanation entries on lyrics translation. These, I need to re-start doing and catch up on...!!
その他 / And Other Stuff
色んな活動者さんの抱負を見てると
チャンネル登録者数〇〇を目標！とかあるけど
タカペンはとにかく持続力がないので
ひたすらこつこつやってくことを
一番の目標とします
I'm seeing a lot of people on X, formerly known as Twitter, making New Year's resolutions along the lines of how many subscribers they want to get this year. I mean sure, yours sincerely would also love to get x number of subscribers as well, but I've a tendency to drop things and start doing other stuff, so my main goal would be to continue what I'm doing.
英語カバーの活動を始めた当初の目標は
最初は動画を5個あげる！
その次は10個あげる！
でした
When I first started, my initial goal was to upload five videos. After that, ten videos.
今のところショート動画を数えないで
動画が確か16個あがってるので、
次は20個達成を目指して行きます
Not counting the shorts clips, I think I have right now uploaded 16 videos, not all English covers, but all songs of some sort. So my next goal is 20 videos. :)
長期の目標は動画100個あげる！です
My longer term goal is uploading 100 videos!!!
このペースだと100個って何年かかるんだろう
って感じですが、まぁそれが楽しみでもあります
At the rate I'm uploading, it's gonna take me years to upload 100 videos, but that's part of the fun!
今年の大きな目標は今年1年間、活動を
飽きた、で投げ出さないで続けること！
So my biggest goal for this year is to just continue uploading cover videos, and not wander off to doing something else. lol
